When the surface of one or more hemp threads are covered by a material with a certain starch contect, which is than smoothenend and polished we can call it twine. During the process, the impurities are extracted from the thread and the surface is smoothened. According to users demand there is a wide range of twines produced regarding diameter and breaking strength.
